Choice CA native introduced by Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, selected from a collection made from an islet just off San Miguel Island. Forms a 2-3’ tall, evergreen clump of attractive, blue-gray foliage. Spreading slowly by rhizomes, this extremely tough grass will tolerate most any soil including heavy clay. Can be used as an accent plant or in large masses. Full sun to light shade, moderate to little water. Deer resistant. Hardy to15°.
